Sideline Replay

Sideline Replay allows staff to view footage of the game in realtime while coaching/watching the game from the sidelines. Coaches can rewind film, replay in slow or fast motion and best of all; whiteboard or telestrate directly on the screen.

Setup Guide

Follow this guide to begin using Sideline Replay:

• Your event must be currently streaming to the WatchGameFilm platform.
• Wait 30 seconds after the start of your stream before opening Sideline Replay.
• Once your recording device has sent 30 seconds of video stream to WatchGameFlm, open Sideline Replay by logging into https://beta.watchgamefilm.com and navigating to Tools > Sideline Replay.
• Your video stream will be detected within Sideline Replay and will begin playing on your screen.

Feature Guide

Sideline Replay works on any tablet or phone and has been rigorously tested with the Safari and Chome web browsers.

• Telestrate: Simply use your finger to draw or whiteboard directly on the screen. If you want to clear your drawing, click the trash can icon located on the player toolbar.
• Play Speed: To play in slow or fast motion, click the 1x button located on the player toolbar. Sideline Replay with toggle thru 0.25x, 0.5x, 1x and 2x speeds.
• Rewind / Fast Forward: Click the back or forward arrows on the player toolbar to jump 10 seconds ahead or back on the video. To return to the current live time, click on the word "Live" on the player toolbar. The player will jump to the end of the stream and the circle will show in Red denoting that the stream is being viewed live.
• Fullscreen: This button located on the player toolbar gives you the largest possible drawing and viewing area possible. All Sideline Replay features are available in fullscreen.

Troubleshooting

Sideline Replay works on any tablet or phone and has been rigorously tested with the Safari and Chome web browsers.

• I get the message "No video stream found. Please confirm another device is recording."
  • Make sure your recording device is powered on and connected to the internet.
  • Make sure your recording device is sending a video stream to WatchGameFilm.
  • Make sure you are logged into the same team that your recording device is streaming to.
  • Make sure you have waited at least 30 seconds after the stream has been running.
  • You must close and reopen Sideline Replay to retry stream detection.
• I don't see "Tools" or "Sideline Replay" options on the dashboard.
  • For the phone or tablet using Sideline Replay, make sure you are logged into https://beta.watchgamefilm.com.
  • Make sure you have proper access to Sideline Replay by clicking on Settings > Security from the dashboard.
