Publishing Film

It is important to remember that the Roku publishing process is not instant and in some cases can take up to 72 hours to complete.  Teams should expect a 24 to 48 hour delay between publishing their film to Roku within WatchGameFilm and actually seeing their film appear on their Roku TV channel.

Publishing Timeline

• User selects a film and adds it to their Roku channel from within WatchGameFilm
• WatchGameFilm then creates a single Roku-compliant video and thumbnail and posts this meta information into the team's Roku feed
• Roku sweeps our WatchGameFilm feed directory 4 times a day picking up new or modified information about your channel
• Within 24-72 hours Roku publishes these updates from your WatchGameFilm Roku feed to your physical Roku channel

Publishing Nuances

• WatchGameFilm can only control the feed that is provided to Roku.  We are unable to direct Roku on when and how to consume and publish the feed
• This means at times your Roku channel may include old and new content at the same time, reflecting multiple feeds that you submitted
• We suggest that you do not make constant, random changes to your feed and to be patient and let Roku process your feed and publish your content before making additional changes
• Again, it could take up to 72 hours to fully reflect the latest feed pushed to Roku
