Transfer Film from Cloud
Overview
WatchGameFilm can accept film transfers from Cloud Services such as Google Drive. This is a quick and advantageous way to transfer film into your team as it does not require you to first download film from the cloud to your device and then upload it again to the WatchGameFilm servers. All you need is a cloud share link of the files or the a share link of the zip file if all of the video clips are in a single compressed folder.
However, before you can begin to transfer video clips from your cloud storage, you must first Add a New Film.
Important! If you are transferring multiple video clips, all of the files must be in the same shared folder. Once you have created a film and selected Google Drive as the method for adding film, a dialog window will appear asking you to provide the share link to where your files are stored.
- Provide your share link which will look similar to this: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1RO2tlBESfUmTLtZGlzRER3PDkjwDHNAF?usp=sharing
- Click on the green checkmark button to validate the link
- Once validated, click Next to list the video clips found from the cloud share URL
Once you see file counted listed as 1 or more and your selected files are listed, click the Next button to Create your Film and begin transferring your video clips. WatchGameFilm will then begin the transfer process and your film will be available shortly.
Understanding Cloud Transfer
- Important: Once you have completed the film upload process, there is a small delay on our side before posting these clips as working video to your team. In order to show them within your team, we need to first encode them to a standard MP4 format that we use to stream all of our video. This process usually takes under 20 minutes for a large full length game film.
